Hangin’ With Scotty McCreery At The Florida Strawberry Festival In Plant City

The McCreerians are a rowdy bunch on Twitter. Not sure I’ve ever come across a fan base as dedicated as Scotty McCreery’s. Here are the pics I promised you guys from the time he hung out with us in Plant City at the Florida Strawberry Festival.

It was a fun day. Dave McKay was still with us and did a quick interview with Scotty for the morning show when he heard the chaos of screaming girls (and grandmas) coming from the gate. So in typical Dave fashion, he grabbed Scotty and threw him in to the insanity.

When Dave passed, Scotty posted a really cool note on my Instagram about that day:

Wow. Very sad news. I remember that moment like it was yesterday. The Strawberry Festival is one of my favorite events to play. Dave was such a great guy who loved the music and especially loved the fans, that moment definitely spoke to that. He will be missed. Sending my thoughts and prayers out to his friends, family, and all the good folks at WQYK… Scotty

  1. That message is vintage Scotty. He is one of the sweetest, most genuine, gentleman God ever created. Yes the McCreerians loved him then and we all still love him now. Thank you for posting this sweet reminder of how genuine he really is. ♡♡♡♡♡
